“Yangtze River Scholar” Professor Hu Zhifeng ’ lecture at the School

On the morning of March 20th, Hu Zhifeng, the first “Yangtze River Scholar” Specially invited of Ministry of Education in China ‘s Media Academic field , gave a lecture on “The Development and Innovation Space of China Television in the New Environment” on our School’s lecture hall. Professor LiYong, Professor Cao Yimei , Professor Qi Taofu, Associate Professor Hu Fanyuan,  Associate Professor XiaoShuai, Teacher Wen Weiwei, Teacher ZhangKe attended this lecture. Some undergraduates and postgraduates in our School came the audience to listen. The lecture was hosted by Associate Dean Wang Fengfei.

 At the beginning of the lecture, Hu said that this lecture is a response to the statement “Television Will Die “which has arisen a great clamour. He combined theory with his own experience and proved that “Television Will Die” is a false proposition through political logic and social logic two aspects. Later, he expanded the lecture in ‘new environment’ ‘the development of television media in mew environment’ ‘the innovation space of television media in new environment’ three points. In the end, Hu encouraged all students present with four sentences “Attitude determines everything, details affect success or failure, poetics enhance reality, intelligence change the world!’. He emphasized that “Television‘s life or death’’ depends on who is in charge, while it is contemporary Television people grasp the future and success of television.

Hu Zhifeng, the first “Yangtze River Scholar” Specially Invited Professor of Ministry of Education in China ‘s Media Academic field; the convener of  the review committee of drama and film subjects of the State Council; enjoys the special allowance of the State Council; selected in “ Ten thousand people plan” leader talent, national cultural propaganda system “ Four batch’’ talents, “New century’s millions of talents program ”; a member of First National Public Cultural Service Construction Expert Committee; Senior Visiting Scholar to Harvard University; presided over more than 40 national and provincial scientific research projects , published more than 30 academic monographs, published more than 400 academic thesises.
